Come and learn the basics of yoga in a fun and friendly foundation or beginners yoga class in Stony Stratford. This is for you if you're new to yoga, returning to the practice after a break or just want to work on the basics. Wherever you are in your yoga journey, this course will help you develop a better understanding of foundational yoga poses.
Based at York House, in the heart of Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes, I'll teach you the basics of yoga movement practice, with plenty of time to see how the poses feel in your body. We will focus on alignment and I'll suggest ways to modify or adjust your position so the postures work for you.
The 6 week beginners yoga course is designed to give you the confidence to start practicing yoga regularly and attending classes. As well as knowing how to modify yoga poses for your body, you'll gain an understanding of which areas of the body each pose is designed to stretch and strengthen. We'll explore breath practice and relaxation techniques and cover some basic yoga theory and history so you understand the why behind the poses.
The 6 week course will start on 8th January.
